How do Enterprise Advisers add value?

As volunteers, Enterprise Advisers use their expertise, networks, and passion to meaningfully Rewrite the Story of careers education.

Working with 情色五月天 and Education Leaders, Enterprise Advisers help:

1. Raise the quality of Careers Provision

"Since Sanj joined our careers team at Foxfields Academy as our Enterprise Adviser, our careers programme has flourished through his brilliant ideas and guidance. Our recent Ofsted report proves that he is a key part of our programme. The support provided has been wide and varied and his industry perspectives are invaluable for our learners."

MATTHEW PAGE, CAREERS LEADER, FOXFIELDS ACADEMY

2. Connect to more employers and increase high quality experiences for young people听

"Since Matt joined our careers team at The Boulevard Academy within his role as Enterprise Adviser our careers programme has flourished through his brilliant ideas and guidance. Matt has also helped build our network through the introduction of new and exciting businesses that he is also working with."

FIONA MARSHALL, CAREERS LEADER, THE BOULEVARD ACADEMY

3. Develop the knowledge and skills of 情色五月天 and Education Leaders

鈥淚t鈥檚 about tiny improvements and accumulating those to then make bigger improvements. Richard, our Enterprise Adviser has helped us shape our intent but also reviewed our impact. It鈥檚 about having that critical friend who can give you that quality assurance without it feeling like an Ofsted inspection.鈥

SUSAN NEMBARD, DEPUTY HEAD TEACHER, NORTHGATE SCHOOL ARTS COLLEGE

4. Boost skills pathways including apprenticeships, technical pathways and vocational routes

"I鈥檝e been matched with a school which needs support improving its Apprenticeship offer, an area I can add real value. I鈥檝e been able to work with the school to improve their knowledge, skills and understanding of what can be achieved when engaging local businesses."

ROB DODDS, CONTROLLER OF UNIPRES TRAINING ACADEMY, UNIPRES (UK)

5. Focus on interventions for economically disadvantaged young people

鈥淲ith Kirstie鈥檚 support and guidance, we have been able to reach out to many local and national businesses, to allow our students the same opportunities that others have access to. Without Kirstie, we would not have won the SEND school of the year award for Lincolnshire! We are sure that Kirstie and Aaron Services will be with us for many years to come, it鈥檚 amazing and we are so grateful!鈥

NICK WRAY, ASSISTANT HEADTACHER, ST FRANCIS SPECIAL SCHOOL

6. Align careers provision to local economic needs

鈥淲e鈥檝e been on an inspirational journey with our Enterprise Adviser, Amanda. She has been a revelation and used her experience as a Learning and Development Manager at Alstom to help us transform how we develop employability skills and behaviours in our young people. They now map against the needs of industry. We wouldn鈥檛 be in this position without Amanda鈥檚 valuable support.鈥

ANDREW KILGOUR, CAREERS LEADER, DERBY MOOR SPENCER ACADEMY
